The
predominating Merlot gives
precious flavours to the wine of Claud Bellevue Castle, and
also a roundness that you can also find in Frédéric
Burriel’s wine, the "Château
Puy Garance". The Cabernet
Franc brings good taste and distinction. The family
Burriel’s production is only made of red wines. Aged
in oak barrels or not, those well-structured wines have the
capacity for maturing and for preserving in cellar superior
to 10 years. Frédéric Burriel also proposes
a Puy Garance in Bordeaux
rosé.
When
they are still young, Armand and Frédéric Burriel’s
wines perfectly go with the mellowness of flowery rind cheeses
: brie de Meaux, Coulommiers,...When they come to maturity,
they perfectly go with a piece of grilled beef-Bordelaise
sauce or marrow, a game with sauce, or a foie gras for the
fans.
After
a few ageing years in bottles, the wine becomes more supple,
however it will keep its fleshy style and some powerful tannins.
To appreciate all its qualities, serve it "cool",
between 16 and 18°C.
